Jakarta, July 2 -- Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono on Wednesday said that fisheries production in the first quarter of 2025 rose 2 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.

"Fisheries production, based on provisional figures, until March 30, 2025, reached 5.58 million tons," Trenggono told Commission IV of the House of Representatives (DPR) during a working meeting at the Senayan Parliament Complex in Jakarta.

"If seen in depth in the first quarter of 2025, it grew by 2.0 percent compared to the same period in 2024," he added.
