Jakarta, July 6 -- The Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry is strengthening the role of fisheries extension workers to help oversee and ensure the success of the national strategic programs, including salt self-sufficiency, the Red and White Fisheries Villages, and the Red and White Village Cooperatives.

For this reason, the ministry is intensifying training and competency development for fisheries extension workers, one of which is through the Marine and Fisheries Extension Worker Competency Development Week which takes place on July 2 to 10.

The event is attended by around 1,387 marine and fisheries extension workers from all over Indonesia.
