Jakarta, June 2 -- The Health Ministry said that Indonesia's first CT scanner production facility would help strengthen national health resilience, as it aligns with the health transformation agenda.

The ministry's director general of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, Lucia Rizka Andalusia, said on Monday that the domestic manufacturing of the medical device is expected to help meet hospitals' needs quickly, since Indonesia has so far imported the technology.

"We have 10 medical devices that are a priority to be produced domestically. Of the ten medical devices, we can produce and have domestically fulfilled seven medical devices, with three of them being CT Scan, MRI, and PET Scan," she informed.
