Jakarta, March 18 -- Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, Deputy Minister for Population and Family Development, stated that families, as the most basic community unit, should be the starting point for character development.
She made this statement during a gathering in Cijantung, East Jakarta, on Sunday (March 16), where she distributed takjil (meals for breaking the fast) to the community.
"We maintain and practice the spirit of Tri Hita Karana (a Balinese concept emphasizing harmony among humans, nature, and God) in our daily lives, starting from the smallest unit, which is the family," Oka affirmed.
