Jakarta, Dec. 16 -- Former Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim has been accused of receiving Rp809.56 billion (approximately US$48.5 million) in connection with an alleged corruption scheme involving the government's education digitalization program.
Makarim, who served from 2019 to 2024, is alleged to have been involved in corruption related to the procurement of Chromebook laptops and Chrome Device Management (CDM) systems at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology between 2019 and 2022.
