Jakarta, Jan. 30 -- The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is collaborating with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to address alleged illegal gold mining across several regions, with an estimated total turnover of Rp992 trillion.

"We are currently confirming this with PPATK so the state can receive what is rightfully its," said Deputy Minister of ESDM Yuliot Tanjung in Jakarta on Friday.

Tanjung stated he does not yet know which companies are involved or where the illegal mining originated. He explained that these financial transactions require thorough analysis, as they may involve multiple parties.
