Jakarta, Dec. 11 -- Indonesia's men's badminton squad swept Malaysia 3-0 to secure the team gold at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games, prompting praise from Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir for their dominant, confident performance.

Erick said the players showed composure and determination throughout Thursday's final, leaving Malaysia little room to respond in a one-sided contest at Thammasat University Rangsit.

Indonesia opened strongly as Alwi Farhan defeated Leong Jun Hao 21-12, 21-19 to deliver the first point in the best-of-five matchup.

The first men's doubles pair, Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Muhammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, extended the lead with a decisive 21-12, 21-12 win over Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.
