Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- Indonesian Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said transportation policy must go beyond infrastructure development and function as a tool for social justice, ensuring equal access for all citizens.
"The Ministry of Transportation bears a major responsibility to ensure that land, sea, air, and rail transport contribute meaningfully to achieving social equity," Dudy said Tuesday at the opening of the Forum on Equitable Transportation Chains in Jakarta.
He emphasized that national transport strategy aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's vision of a fair economy and supports Indonesia Emas 2045, the country's long-term development agenda leading up to its centennial.
