Jakarta, Jan. 30 -- The Ministry of Health has stated that the Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Surakarta, Central Java, is ready to serve patients under the national health insurance scheme, BPJS Kesehatan, as part of efforts to expand public access to health services.
In a statement received here on Friday, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the policy reflects the government's commitment to ensure that the hospital remains a public asset that is widely accessible to the community.
"This hospital must be properly maintained. It belongs to the Indonesian people," Sadikin said.
Located at Solo Technopark, the Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital has treated 582 patients since officially commencing operations.
