Jakarta, March 25 -- The Ministry of Industry supports the development of the solar module industry, a vital element in building solar power plants (PLTS), to optimize the potential of new and renewable energy for electrification.

"We continue to encourage investment in industry, including the solar cell and solar module industry in the context of developing new and renewable energy as well as supporting the net zero emission program," the ministry's Director of the Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Industry, Solehan, stated here on Tuesday.

Solehan highlighted that Indonesia currently hosts 33 solar module manufacturers, with an annual production capacity reaching 4.3 gigawatts (GW), and each module capable of generating 720 watts....
