Jakarta, July 1 -- The Indonesian government has disbursed electricity subsidies totaling Rp34.6 trillion as of May 2025, out of the Rp87.72 trillion set in the 2025 State Budget (APBN).
During a hearing with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which oversees energy, environment, and investment in Jakarta on Monday, Director of Retail and Commerce of the state-owned electric company PT PLN Adi Priyanto reported that the volume of subsidized electricity sales reached 31.17 TWh as of May 2025.
On that occasion, Priyanto highlighted the importance of accurate and targeted distribution of electricity subsidies.
