Jakarta, March 27 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated that, as of Thursday morning, 11,800 motorcycles had crossed from Ciwandan Port, Banten, during the Eid al-Fitr exodus.
"From last night until early this morning, we observed that the homecoming process at Ciwandan Port was quite good, orderly, and smooth. Today, we had 11,800 two-wheeled vehicles, and it (the number) is expected to rise tomorrow," Purwagandhi remarked here on Thursday.
The minister directly monitored the movement of motorcycle homecomers at Ciwandan Port to ensure that crowd management was running smoothly. At that time, 21 ferries were operating to serve passengers.
