Surabaya, E Java, March 7 -- East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said that approximately 18.7 million people are expected to travel to the province during the Eid al-Fitr exodus season, based on data from the Ministry of Transportation.

"According to the minister (Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi), around 103.7 million people are expected to travel during the homecoming season in Java, with 18.7 million of them heading to East Java," she informed during a meeting with the minister here on Friday.

The East Java provincial government and the ministry are preparing strategies for the 2025 Eid exodus season.

Parawansa said that the peak of the exodus season is expected to happen earlier than usual, that is, instead of D-3, ...
