Jakarta, Nov. 16 -- The Indonesian Editors-in-Chief Forum (Pemred) initiated "No Tax for Knowledge," which encourages tax relief for the media industry to ensure the sustainability of journalistic institutions and their continued provision of quality information.

"This means that good, verified journalistic institutions that provide accurate education and information should, if possible, have their taxes reduced," said Chair of the Chief of Pemred, Retno Pinasti, in Jakarta on Sunday.

She conveyed that during the Forum's Run for Good Journalism 2025, which was also attended by the Finance Minister, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
