Samarinda, Aug. 29 -- The East Kalimantan provincial government has received a visit from Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan, M. Fadjroel Rachman, to discuss opportunities for international cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism with Kazakhstan.
Ujang Rachmad, Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development Administration at the provincial secretariat, stated in Samarinda on Friday that Kazakhstan needs several key commodities from East Kalimantan, including palm oil, cocoa, and rubber, as well as marine and fishery products.
Furthermore, the tourism sector could become a major gateway for promoting East Kalimantan's culture and natural attractions in the Central Asian region.
