Surabaya, E Java, March 31 -- East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa on Monday urged people traveling for the Eid holiday to stay alert for extreme weather, such as heavy rainfall, during their journeys and tourism activities.
The province's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that some areas in East Java, including Malang, Pasuruan, and Banyuwangi, may experience high-intensity rainfall.
"For those who will be traveling to these areas, please remain vigilant," she said.
