Jakarta, Oct. 25 -- Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria highlighted the strong interest of Indonesia's younger generation in developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, as reflected by the growing number of AI startups in the country.
"Many initiatives have emerged over the past five years. We now have around 2,800 startups developing AI technology," he said in a statement on Saturday.
Patria explained that Indonesia has completed UNESCO's AI Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM), which demonstrates the country's preparedness to embrace AI development.
