Jakarta, April 28 -- The Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Forum is deemed key to building Indonesia's resilience against future disaster threats, National Disaster Mitigation Agency's (BNPB's) Deputy for Prevention Prasinta Dewi stated.

In the agency's statement received here on Monday, Dewi remarked that the DRR Forum is a strategic pillar for enhancing coordination, improving capacity, and fostering a culture of disaster risk awareness within the community.

"The DRR Forum serves as the foundation for building the nation's resilience," she noted during a public hearing of the BNPB Chief's Draft Regulation on DRR in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
