Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) ensured that the bill on manpower remains a priority for deliberation to create a more just and inclusive labor ecosystem for workers.

"This is one of the priorities of Commission IX to be completed in legislation," Deputy Chair of Commission IX Putih Sari said in the first meeting of the bill's working committee here on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, she underscored that the commission does not want to rush the completion of the draft law, which has been included in the 2025-2026 Priority National Legislation Program, as it is seeking more input from various parties, including trade unions.
