Jakarta, May 7 -- Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani announced that the House will instruct the relevant commission to follow up on the rise in unemployment in Indonesia, as recently reported by Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

"We will request the relevant commission to follow up on the data that has been released," she stated at the parliamentary complex here on Wednesday.

Maharani emphasized that the DPR will fulfill its supervisory role by closely monitoring how the government addresses the rise in the national unemployment rate.
