Jakarta, Dec. 5 -- Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir has emphasized that the double standards adopted in response to Israel's genocide in the Gaza Strip could potentially erode trust in the multilateral system.
"The double standards currently on display in Gaza are damaging the multilateral system," he said at the tenth emergency special session of the UN General Assembly to discuss Israeli actions against Palestinians, held in New York on Wednesday.
At the session, Indonesia also voiced regret over the repeated vetoes of eight UN Security Council draft resolutions to stop the violence in Gaza, as well as the bluntness of four UNSC resolutions that failed to be implemented effectively.
