Mataram, Aug. 31 -- All documents and assets inside the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) building were destroyed and looted during a protest on Saturday afternoon (Aug 30).

NTB DPRD Speaker Baiq Isvie Rupaeda confirmed that nothing could be saved from the fire and looting.

"Nothing can be saved. Everything is completely destroyed and gone," she said in Mataram on Sunday.

Although the entire building was gutted and looted, Rupaeda said she could not yet estimate the total losses of all assets, documents, and facilities belonging to the provincial government.

"We do not have the numbers yet because the building and its assets are under the ownership of the provincial government," she explained.
