Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) announced that central and regional governments have coordinated efforts to accelerate Bali's recovery after floods struck several areas on Wednesday.

"All ministries and agencies have taken action according to their respective duties, working with local governments at the district and city levels to expedite repairs to damaged public facilities and homes," BNPB Head Suharyanto stated in a release received here on Friday.

According to him, as stipulated in Law 24/2007, BNPB serves as a cross-ministerial coordinating body in handling both emergency response and recovery phases.
