Jakarta, July 29 -- Chief executive officer of Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, has emphasized the importance of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in Indonesia adopting a long-term outlook.

"We want the management -- not just at Garuda Indonesia, but across all BUMN -- to adopt a long-term mindset," he said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He expressed concern that some BUMN leaders are still operating with short-term goals in mind. Instead, he urged them to develop strategies with long-term sustainability in focus.

"Don't just think in terms of two, three, or even four to five years. That mindset must change. We need a long-term outlook," he said.
