Deli Serdang, Dec. 19 -- Indonesia's investment management agency, Danantara, has dispatched 1,000 volunteers to districts and cities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to assist residents reeling from the major floods and landslides that struck in late November.
Danantara's Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria officially flagged off the disaster response volunteers, deployed by multiple state-owned enterprises (SOEs), at Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra, on Friday.
In addition to personnel, the agency dispatched more than 100 vehicles carrying a wide range of urgently needed goods and equipment for disaster-affected regions, including groceries, clean water, and fuel.
