Jakarta, Dec. 29 -- Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara continues to expedite the construction of hundreds of temporary shelters (Huntara) in Kuala Simpang, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province, following the flash floods and landslides.

"The government's temporary shelters are for the victims, not a task but an obligation, as State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Assets Agency chief Dony Oskaria stated. This is our obligation," Danantara expert Khairul Jasmi said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

President Prabowo Subianto will visit Aceh Tamiang to inspect this progress. "President Prabowo will inspect the buildings on January 1, 2026. Of course, his priority is to meet with the victims," Jasmi said.
