Jakarta, March 7 -- Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized the government's dedication to supporting the development of intellectual property (IP) for local animation to go global.

According to the minister, the national animation industry's ecosystem must be bolstered through the development of local IP.

"The more animators, the richer the creativity. Animation requires an agent of creativity, and the ability of our local animators is no longer in doubt," Harsya noted in his statement on Friday.

The minister also voiced his support for Pipilaka, one of the pioneers of social and environment-based animation works.
