Nusantara, Dec. 6 -- The legislative and judicial development project in Indonesia's new capital Nusantara (IKN), has entered its construction stage following the signing of 20 contract packages for the second phase (2025-2029).

The second phase initially saw the signing of 12 project packages in the area. On Thursday (Dec 4), eight more contract packages were signed, bringing the total to 20, and the construction phase now underway.

"The eight contracts signed on Thursday, two days ago, cover five work packages for the legislative building and office complex, consisting of 16 buildings on a 41.81-hectare plot," said Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the IKN Authority, in IKN on Saturday.
