Jakarta, March 12 -- Deputy Minister of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, has emphasized the government's commitment to creating a workforce that is competent, productive, and protected from labor brokering practices.

Gerungan said that one of the concrete steps taken by the government to achieve this has been the establishment of the manpower desk, which functions as an integrated center for counseling as well as for filing complaints and reports on crimes related to employment.
