Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Police Commissioner Kosmas K. Gae has appealed his dishonorable discharge (PTDH) for his role in the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) tactical vehicle that ran over an online motorcycle taxi driver, Affan Kurniawan.

"Regarding the decision of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing held last week, Commissioner Kosmas has filed an appeal," the head of the National Police's Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said on Wednesday.

On September 3, Kosmas was dismissed for his involvement in the case, along with the imposition of an ethical sanction due to his behavior being deemed disgraceful.
