Jakarta, May 2 -- The Ministry of Environment highlighted that the climate change adaptation steps that will be outlined in the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) must be implemented down to the grassroots level.

The ministry's Director for Climate Change Adaptation, Yulia Suryanti, stated at the launch of NAP drafting here on Friday that the NAP is one of the documents that must be given careful consideration to address climate change.

"The adaptation plan must reach the district and city level," she remarked.

The NAP is a document that must be submitted by countries that ratified the Paris Agreement to the UNFCCC Secretariat, with Indonesia planning to submit it this year.
