Jakarta, June 18 -- Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced that several foreign investors have shown interest in participating in the Giant Sea Wall construction project.

While no major investors have officially handled the project, Hadi noted that several parties have made informal offers.

"Several (investors) have expressed offers informally, including those from China and Korea," he stated when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 17).

He explained that the government is continuing preparations for the giant sea wall project, which has been included in the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) planning since 1995 and is set to be launched soon.
