Jakarta, June 13 -- Indonesia is confident of withstanding global oil price volatility in the wake of Israeli strikes on Iran, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung has said.

According to Tanjung, Indonesia is continuing to make efforts to ramp up domestic oil and gas production to minimize the impact of international volatility on the stability of domestic energy supply.

"Indonesia is pursuing energy security; we are striving to increase domestic oil and gas (output)," he said here on Friday.

Currently, he informed, Indonesia's oil lifting has reached 610 thousand barrels per day (BPD), exceeding the State Budget target of 605 thousand BPD.
