Jakarta, Feb. 1 -- The Indonesian Equestrian Sports Association (PP Pordasi) has said that Indonesia is ready to host international championships held by the Federation Equestrian International (FEI) and the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF), if the opportunity arises.

To demonstrate its readiness, PP Pordasi, in cooperation with the Agriculture Ministry, has initiated the equine disease-free zone (EDFZ) program to make it easier for Asian and world-level competitions to take place in Indonesia.

"I also convey a message and also a mandate from the President of Indonesia, that if given the opportunity, Indonesia is ready to host FEI or AEF in the future," PP Pordasi chair Aryo Djojohadikusumo said in Jakarta on Saturday.
