Jakarta, Sept. 14 -- Perum Bulog reported that the distribution of rice under the Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program has reached nearly 400,000 tons across Indonesia.

"As of today, distribution has reached almost 400,000 tons," Perum Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said in Jakarta on Sunday.

He explained that SPHP rice has been distributed through market retailers, Village/Kelurahan Merah Putih Cooperatives (Kopdes), modern retail outlets, and Bulog's Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK).

In addition, Bulog also delivers SPHP rice through the nationwide Cheap Food Movement (GPM).

The distribution of SPHP rice has helped lower the inflation rate from 214 districts and cities to 100 districts and cities.
