Jakarta, Aug. 12 -- The development of Bulango Ulu Dam in Bone Bolango, Gorontalo province, is an effort to build food resilience in the eastern parts of Indonesia, Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo has stressed.
According to Hanggodo, the dam, which is one of the national strategic infrastructure projects, is set to be completed by year-end. As of August 1, 2025, the physical construction of the dam was 85.6 percent complete, he informed.
He said here on Tuesday that the dam project reflects the government's commitment to pursue food resilience by ensuring the availability of water, including for irrigation, and flood control.
