Jakarta, Feb. 14 -- Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that the government will conduct further study to prevent the layoffs of contract employees in ministries and government agencies that receive honorariums.

This effort responds to the president's instruction for ministries and agencies to implement budget efficiency in the 2025 state budget.

"We will conduct further study on the budget efficiency in ministries and agencies so that it does not affect the spending for honorarium-paid employees," Indrawati stated during a press conference at the parliament complex here on Friday.
