Jakarta, Feb. 7 -- Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Lestari Moerdijat emphasized the importance of continued development in the cultural sector despite ongoing government efficiency policies, including those within the Ministry of Culture.

According to the MPR deputy speaker, the government must prioritize several key programs to achieve various development targets in the cultural sector.

"In the midst of budget efficiency implemented by the government in a number of ministries and agencies, efforts that focus on a number of priority programs are the appropriate step," she remarked here on Friday.
