Jakarta, Sept. 3 -- The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) emphasized the paramount role of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in transforming traditional healthcare systems into more modern and data-driven services.

"Why is IoMT important for all of us? First, it is about shifting to data-driven care, where every decision is based on data," BRIN's telecommunication researcher Rizky Rahmatullah explained during a discussion on IoMT held here on Wednesday.

Rahmatullah explained that the current healthcare system is still traditional, where patients visit doctors, undergo examinations, and receive prescriptions. However, with IoMT, health data of patients can be collected automatically.
