Indonesia, June 25 -- A Brazilian tourist who fell into a ravine on Mount Rinjani, Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, was found dead by a joint SAR team on Tuesday afternoon (June 24), the local SAR agency confirmed.

Mataram SAR Office head, Muhamad Hariyadi, said that one of the search personnel reached the victim-identified as JDSP, 27-around 6 p.m. local time, approximately 600 meters below the location where she initially fell.

"According to preliminary checks, we found no sign of life on the victim," Hariyadi said, adding that three other rescuers who later reached the site confirmed the same.

The team promptly covered the victim's body, while other personnel at the descent point began preparing for the evacuation.
