Jakarta, Jan. 2 -- The Hajj Financial Management Agency, or BPKH, said the entire process of disbursing refunds for the Special Hajj is being conducted in full compliance with prevailing regulations, while ensuring that the funds remain secure and liquid.

"In the absence of a formal instruction, BPKH has no legal basis to proceed with the disbursement. This measure is intended solely to uphold the principles of accountability, prudence, and compliance with audit mechanisms," BPKH Secretary Ahmad Zaky said on Friday.

Zaky made the statement in response to concerns raised by Special Hajj Organizers, known as PIHK, regarding certainty over departure schedules and the disbursement of refunds for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
