Jakarta, July 2 -- Head of Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) Ahmad Haikal Hasan stressed that the halal industry is one of the driving forces in the national economy.

"The global halal industry is growing rapidly, along with a large halal potential that continues to grow. The halal economic sector is one of the important sectors for strengthening the national economy," he remarked in a statement on Wednesday.
