Denpasar, Sept. 12 -- The Bali Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has revised the number of fatalities from the recent floods, lowering the count from 18 to 17.

"There was a correction due to a duplicate entry in the records," said Head of BPBD Bali I Gede Agung Teja Bhusana Yadnya on Friday.

Yadnya explained that as of Friday, September 12, updated data at 2:00 p.m. local time (GMT+8), reconfirmed at 8:00 p.m., showed 17 confirmed fatalities, with five individuals still missing.

The fatalities are distributed across several districts: 11 in Denpasar, 3 in Gianyar, 2 in Jembrana, and 1 in Badung.
