Jakarta, March 4 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is working to restore access to roads affected by the flash floods on Sunday, which tore bridges across Bogor district, West Java province, ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"The BNPB does not want the people to experience difficulties in mobility for a long time, especially with Eid al-Fitr approaching in the next few weeks," head of the BNPB, Suharyanto, said in a statement received from the agency in Jakarta on Tuesday.
During a coordination meeting between the BNPB and the Bogor district government on Monday, it was revealed that the flash floods severely damaged at least seven bridges in Cisarua sub-district.
