Jakarta, Dec. 18 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) aims to open landslide-blocked roads in the North Tapanuli District, North Sumatra, within three days to expedite emergency responses to flooding and landslides.
Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center Abdul Muhari emphasized that accelerating the reopening of access remains the top priority to ensure the optimal flow of logistics, personnel, and services for affected communities.
"The progress of reopening alternative roads has reached around 80 percent and is targeted for completion within the next three days, while work on the main route is still being carried out in stages," he said here on Thursday.
