Banda Aceh, Oct. 28 -- Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) distributed logistical and emergency response assistance worth Rp32.6 billion (US$1.96 million) in Aceh between 2023 and 2025.
"This assistance includes pre-disaster support, mitigation efforts, preparedness training, and well-drilling," BNPB head Suharyanto said after a coordination meeting on disaster management in Banda Aceh on Tuesday.
He added that BNPB also provides for communities' basic needs after floods, landslides, and other natural disasters.
"After a disaster, we ensure basic needs are met, including through budgetary assistance," he said.
