Jakarta, March 27 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) suggested conducting weather modification operations as a main strategy for maintaining the smoothness of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr homecoming exodus.

BNPB Head Suharyanto noted in a statement here on Thursday that this strategy is taken because it is effective in reducing rain intensity, thereby minimizing the risks of hydrometeorological disasters in areas that are part of the main homecoming routes, especially Lampung and Banten.

According to BNPB, weather forecasts for the Eid holiday indicate relatively safe conditions in Banten.
