Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is ensuring swift response, including the immediate distribution of basic logistical aid, to ease the burden on communities affected by the floods in Bali on Wednesday.

BNPB Head Suharyanto informed to reporters that basic logistics such as food, clothing, tents, and other supplies have been prepared, and that the regional government will ensure the smooth distribution of aid.

"Urgent needs assessments are also being conducted as we speak," he added.

BNPB confirmed that flash floods have hit four districts/cities in Bali, namely Denpasar City, Jembrana District, Gianyar District, and Tabanan District.
