Jakarta, Jan. 15 -- The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) head Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto said universities play a strategic role as the nation's moral and intellectual safeguard.

During a meeting with the rector of Pancasila University in Jakarta on Tuesday (Jan. 13), Suyudi said drug abuse has become increasingly prevalent in university and school environments, underscoring the need for collective action.

"We must ensure they do not become involved in drug networks or even experiment with drugs. Synergy between the BNN and universities is crucial, as early prevention efforts can be carried out," Suyudi said, according to a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
