Jakarta, April 12 -- The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the government of Jakarta province agreed to solidify collaboration to tackle the issue of drugs in Jakarta during a meeting in the capital on Friday.
At the meeting, BNN head Marthinus Hukom and Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized the importance of using a comprehensive and collaborative approach to handle the issue.
"Jakarta is currently the center of illegal drug trafficking, with an abuser prevalence rate of 3.3 percent, or equal to 132 thousand people," Hukom noted at the meeting, according to a statement released here on Saturday.
